[14,12] ὑπερφυές τι χρῆμα σώματος ἦν ὁ Κελτός, οἷος ὑπεραίρειν πολὺ τὴν κοινὴν φύσιν. Λικίνιος Στόλων, ὁ δεκάκις δημαρχήσας καὶ τοὺς νόμους εἰσηγησάμενος ὑπὲρ ὧν ἡ δεκαετὴς στάσις ἐγένετο, ἁλοὺς ἐν δίκῃ καὶ ὑπὸ τοῦ δήμου καταψηφισθεὶς τίμημα ἀργυρικὸν εἶπεν, ὅτι θηρίον οὐδέν ἐστι δήμου μιαρώτερον, ὃς οὐδὲ τῶν σιτιζόντων ἀπέχεται.

Traduction française :

[14,12] The Gaul was a tremendous creature in bulk, far exceeding the common build. Licinius Stolo, the man who had held the tribuneship ten times and had introduced the laws over which the ten-years' sedition occurred, when he was found guilty at his trial and condemned by the populace to pay a monetary fine, declared that there is no wild beast more bloodthirsty than the populace, which does not spare even those who feed it.
